Both. Bring your plans to our Mexico City store or request pickup at your office or job site. Scanning starts from physical paper, so no prior digital file is needed.

Will an old blueprint lose quality when scanned?

Accepted Answer

No. At 600 dpi we recover maximum detail from the physical plan, even old blueprints with faded ink, folds or stains. We flatten and clean before scanning.

What file format do I get?

Accepted Answer

PDF (standard for archiving and reprinting), JPG (color or presentation) or lossless TIFF (for vectorizing in AutoCAD or Revit). You choose the format and resolution.

300 dpi covers most everyday uses: archive, email delivery and reprinting at original size. 600 dpi is worth it when you need to enlarge the drawing, recover fine detail from old or damaged plans, or vectorize afterward. Can you convert the scanned blueprint to AutoCAD (DWG)?

Accepted Answer

Scanning delivers a raster file (PDF/TIFF). That high-resolution base can be vectorized to DWG for CAD editing; request uncompressed TIFF for the best result.

Architectural, structural, MEP (plumbing, electrical, gas), urban, detail and topographic drawings. Also large-format renders and any technical paper document up to 48×36 in.

How do I receive the digital file?
